DEALING WITH MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES IN CORRECTIONS

Day 1 of the course will provide an overview of common mental health diagnoses seen in the justice system and the symptoms to be aware of underlying behaviors. Day 2 of the course will be applying the information from Day 1 to specific environments and cases to increase effective communication and strategies, decreasing the need for intrusive interventions.
